Aren't women more exposed to YIs. Does that mean women are more depressed than men?

men can transmit YI's and are probably more exposed to it because they go around sticking their dirty cocks in multiple female partners and don't bother washing. They usually don't know they have it. Candida yeast grows more rapidly in female genitalia. It prefers darkness and moisture, plus a woman's chemistry is more suitable for harboring it. Aside from that being linked to depression,
Many other things cause depression in both sexes. In some cases, weather and climate changes can affect a person's mood. So true.

Sad to hear about how you're feeling..

Like you said, there are SO many things that can lead to depression. Luckily there's usually a way out of it. Not always easy to get out of it though, but no one should ever think they're stuck with it. A change of scenery(living, job etc.), a change of diet, a change of who you hang with, coming in contact with good people, having people who care about you around you, doing things you like.. Of course, it's much easier said than done. Not to get too deep into it, but im exposed to someone who puts me down every single day, which doesn't make me the happiest person.., but it does help having caring people around me. And finding my fiance helped me a lot. So what im trying to say, even if youre in a depressing situation, there are things that can make it better. And most likely in the end you'll manage to get away from it. Everything takes time sadly, but it can be easier if you have , someone to go through it with, or/and, someone who lets you see the nice sides of life.

If you're into astrology or not, that too plays a very important role...

All we know about religions are adaptations of the mystery religion which had alot to do with astro-theology, and there are those who understand the true nature of this idea... Im trying to get there but too much info...

The planets and seasons play an important role in our daily lives but we never think that it might ever be a possibility... well I was listening to Jordan Maxwell and he made 2 interesting comments...

"1. We all believe that the moon and it's gravitational forces play an important part in creating the tithes in the ocean... well two thirds of our bodies are water and to think it doesn't affect us is simply sinical.

2. Ask the chiefs of police in the worst crime ridden cities and they all tell you they are much busier on a full moon."

Interesting...

Then there's another major astronomical affect coming our way and maybe you'll hear about it and even if u do you won't pay any attention... that is of Pluto crossing the centre of our galaxy and bring about the change that would usher us into the age of Aquarius... This would be next month... for a more full description of this event and the esoteric meaning to the psychological and change in mentality which I was feeling and found confirmation of... would be to listen to Michael Tsarion who spoke about this in his www.red-ice.net interviews...

Quote:
The human mind can create so much unreality... Pluto represents change... change to what? The "EGO"... Pluto brings about the time to examine the inner world as apposed to the outer... It asks you to look at the deeper inner emotions and to recognise the negative emotions for what they are and deal with them...

If you wanna hear the excerpt listen from the 9min mark... because the rest is from the 5th part in the series found here...

Excellent material !!! I know this is much to consider but at a higher level this is all there is they consider!!!

Post Water bottles leak chemical Reply with quote

OTTAWA–A study of bottled water has found concentrations of potentially harmful antimony increase the longer water is stored in a certain plastic.

A Canadian scientist now working in Germany tested 132 brands of bottled water from 28 countries in containers made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). About 20 came from Canada.

William Shotyk of the University of Heidelberg found that concentration of chemicals such as antimony increases the longer the water sits in PET bottles. His study measured concentrations for up to six months; he plans to test the samples again in a year.

"It's increasing over time because (the plastic) is leaching chemicals," said Shotyk, while in Ottawa to lecture on the findings. He was cautious about implications for human health, saying more research is needed.

Antimony is a white metallic element that in small doses can cause nausea, dizziness and depression. In large doses, it can be fatal.

Most of the Canadian samples had initial antimony levels of about 160 parts per trillion, but six months after sitting in plastic the level had doubled. Still, levels were well below Health Canada standards of 6,000 parts per trillion.

This is something I take to deal with depression. It is an energy and nutrient drink that helps with those days that I don't want to get out of bed. It has worked great so far and I thought I would pass this info on to someone else. Give it a shot! I hope this found someone that might find it as helpful as I do! Thanks!

Post on my own opinion.. Reply with quote
i have been diagnosed depressed now for about four years. i am sixteen years old and am rapidly growing out of that phase. i found somethings easier in my case, idk if it'll help anyone else but i'll post my options on here as well on things to help depression.

-- keep busy, seriously. find activities to do. something, anything! there are so many programs out there that really really will open you mind, make you more positive, plus keep you busy and not secluded.

-- never oversleep; get on a strict schedule for sleep. usually, i wanted to just sleep the depression away. it only made it ten times worse. getting up at a decent hour and going to bed at a decent hour and creating a pattern will help you feel more balanced.

-- i found having a friend or even an animal helped me a lot. i went and bought a parakeet and my parents got a cat. taking care of the bird helped me waste time and also teaching it how to do tricks and stuff kept me entertained and also helped me learn a lot about birds. i feed the cat and dog every morning... take the dog on a walk.. let the cat roam in the back yard for a bit.. let the bird fly around the house and teach her how to say words.. it's pretty amusing and makes you feel a lot better when you actually wasted your time productively.

those are just some tips that helped me a bit. hope they can help out for ppl who are depressed.
also, having a counselor is a good way to vent. they don't give opinions nor give guidelines.
they're just there to listen and help you out of a sticky situation. it really helped me!

Post Dirt exposure 'boosts happiness' Reply with quote
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6509781.stm wrote:
Exposure to dirt may be a way to lift mood as well as boost the immune system, UK scientists say.

Lung cancer patients treated with "friendly" bacteria normally found in the soil have anecdotally reported improvements in their quality of life.

Mice exposed to the same bacteria made more of the brain's "happy" chemical serotonin, the Bristol University authors told the journal Neuroscience.

Common antidepressants work by boosting this brain chemical.

Dirty play

A lack of serotonin is linked with depression in people.

The scientists say more work is now needed to determine if the bacterium Mycobacterium vaccae has antidepressant properties through activation of serotonin neurons.

Lead researcher Dr Chris Lowry said: "These studies help us understand how the body communicates with the brain and why a healthy immune system is important for maintaining mental health.

"They also leave us wondering if we shouldn't all spend more time playing in the dirt."

The work could also help experts' understanding of why an imbalance in the immune system leaves some individuals vulnerable to mood disorders like depression, he added.

Mood and immunity

Canadian researchers have also been exploring the links between serotonin, mood and immunity.

A team at Georgetown University Medical Center recently discovered serotonin is passed between key cells in the immune system, and that the chemical can activate an immune response.

This suggests that serotonin may restore a healthy immune function in people who are depressed and prone to infections.

On the flip side, it is also possible that serotonin, and serotonin-boosting antidepressants, end up bolstering immunity to the point that they trigger autoimmune disease where the body attacks itself.

Gerard Ahern, lead researcher on the study, explained: "At this point we just don't know how these drugs might affect immunity, so we really need to clarify the normal role of serotonin in immune cell functioning."

-So another cause for depression: anti-biotics which are admittedly over-prescribed.

Post people who get seasonal depression Reply with quote
My friend most people don't get seasonal depression, even if they live in areas where days are shorter during winter months. Experts don't fully understand why certain people are more likely to experience SAD than others. It may be that some people are more sensitive than others to variations in light, and therefore may experience more dramatic shifts in hormone production, depending on their exposure to light.

By Sky News SkyNews - Monday, May 14 09:07 am

The number of people on anti-depressants is at an all-time high in Britain.

Mental health charity Mind says 31 million prescriptions for anti-depressant drugs were written last year.

That figure represents a 6% jump on the previous year.

It is estimated that depression affects one in five people at some point during their lives.

Statistics show that within the figure, prescriptions for drugs such as Prozac have risen by 10%.

Britain is also lagging behind European countries like Holland where patients are prescribed agricultural work to treat mental distress.

New research shows country walks can help reduce depression and raise self-esteem, prompting calls for "ecotherapy" to become a recognised treatment.

Ecotherapy: The Green Agenda For Mental Health is the first study looking at how such exercise specifically affects those suffering from depression.

Post Hemoencephalography (HEG) Reply with quote
From:
http://www.york-biofeedback.co.uk/neurofeedback/hemoencephalography_york.htm

Quote:
Neurofeedback is a form of biofeedback that directly trains the brain itself. HEG neurofeedback works with blood flow as a parameter of brain activation.

Just as you might do weight training to increase your body strength, so you can use HEG training to boost brain performance in the pursuit of your goals.

Most commonly we train the area of the brain behind the forehead. This region, known as the Prefrontal Cortex, is your brain's "executive control", and is responsible for maintaining focus and making decisions. By optimisation brain activation here you can help yourself to:

    * focus effectively and maintain concentration
    * gain control over emotions and impulses
    * maintain a sense of purpose and self-possession
    * flexibly respond to the demands of the situation

HEG Neurofeedback is non-invasive and safe - it's a tool that puts into your own hands the means to enhance the brain's natural capacity to grow and learn. Because it stimulates physical change, the benefits are lasting.

Applications of HEG

HEG is showing itself successful in working with:

    * Depression

Brain scanning studies reveal that activation in the Prefrontal Cortex (executive control) is non-optimal in the brains of depression sufferers. By stimulating activity HEG training helps to create the biological conditions for overcoming depression.

    * Attention issues including ADD and ADHD. Again studies show dysregulation in prefrontal activation, that can be addressed by HEG training.
    * Migraine
HEG is showing itself effective in reducing the intensity of pain, frequency and duration of migraines - seemingly by boosting the brain's ability to regulate itself.

The images above (courtesy of Dr. Jeff Carmen) are taken with a thermal camera before and after a single pIR HEG training session. Brighter colours are hotter. The right picture is post-training and shows the heating effect of the training. (Heat is a by-product of neural activity.)

You can read more about HEG in the articles section.

Post Folic acid 'reduces depression Reply with quote
From:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/north_yorkshire/6251604.stm

Quote:
Adding folic acid to bread could help prevent depression, a new study shows.

York University researchers said there was a link between mental health issues and low levels of folate.

They said folate could produce "feel good" chemicals in the brain and have called for large-scale trials to take place.

Studies have previously shown that adding the supplements to foods such as bread could also prevent strokes and birth defects.

Relevant research

The York scientists looked at 11 previous studies involving more than 15,300 volunteers which had been completed recently.

Last month, the Food Standards Agency urged health ministers to make it compulsory for folic acid to be added to bread or flour to help prevent birth defects.

Dr Simon Gilbody, who led the study, said: "Our study is unique in that for the first time all the relevant evidence in this controversial area has been brought together.

"Although the research does not prove that low folate causes depression, we can now be sure that the two are linked."

This is supposedly new news? B-Vitamins are covered in the OP. They should be taken in a natural balance with the foods they come naturally in. If you get too much of one b-vitamin, it can cause you to stop absorbing the other ones (and there's more than one that is crucial to your neurological health). Bread unless it's made with something like acorn flour, is something we shouldn't be eating because it causes mucus and other problems.
