Correction, 3.42 gig hehehe  I think its worth the download, ill compress it after i download it and share the torrent...........

what do you mean? im on cable. i recently moved, and where i used to live i had kickass speeds even with IP blockers up. at this new place i cant get 100 kB/s with torrents to save my life. i dont think the router that we are running here is configured correctly. i told the guy to forward me a port but the router he has is supposed to do a part of the forwarding automatically. i dunno, something isnt right and i dont think he likes me playing with his router.

Allright, there is NO SUCH THING as automatic port forwarding!!!!
You MUST get into your router and forward a port...........download utorrent and it automatically checks if por-forwarding is working!!!
Get McAfee Internet security 2006 and ull be suprised how hopeless other AV product are (that may be your problem too)
Also try using a dedicated network card rather then the one on your computer (make sure you disable your onboard one)

i didnt take a look at the router personally, but when i asked him if he forwarded the port correctly to my computers IP he said he couldnt enter any IP and that he could open a range of ports for tcp and udp protocols. he went on to tell me that the router passes requests on the ports he opened automatically to any computer that requests the usage of the defined ports. at that point i didnt want to argue with him, and i accepted that i would have to wait days instead of hours for my torrents to finish. which is not big deal cuz i have so much shit i havent even watched or played yet. not to mention when i start working full time ill have even less time. it also might have something to do with the 4 hubs and swtiches he has over here. i dont think my AV is effecting it in any way. i also dont think its my network card, i had the same pc at another place and my transfers were smoking. i bet if i turned off my IP blocker it would help, but im not sure thats a good idea. i use azureus with the safepeer plugin. my buddy here just recently ditched azureus and started using utorrent, but i noticed you have to run a 3rd party IP blocker. which he doesnt do, but his speeds are alot better than mine, which i attribute to the IP blocker im running. i suppose utorrent may be doing something better for handling the packet requests in the router i dunno. i remember reading that utorrent does udp better. do youi run an IP blocker of any kind?

I let mcafee handle the ip blocking!!! Check your ports on your router as id bet they are blocked!!!
Trust me go to utorrent and use it, once you try it you will love it

are you importing a custom ip blocklist? i had downloaded a file off torrents that was a world ip blocklist.
found here http://www.torrentspy.com/download.asp?id=810102
i plugged it into safepeer and sure enough i was blocking like 99% of the internet. well, that was according to the azureus ip blocker plugin. with my current ip block list, i block 64% of the internet. i have no clue how it can determine that %.
damnit OD.com keeps timing out on me tongiht for some reason.

Im just using my firewall to stop people trying to hack and router is setup to stop ping requests! I think thats enough
I dont see a point of setting up a custom ip blocker as usually these types of software are filled with spyware themselves!!!
The download is going well for me 
Also i get up to around 1200kbps download speed on utorrent !!! impressive huh???
