I believe in it even if i haven't experienced anything. I would never tell someone who saw something that it's just a big load of garbage. The reason most people don't believe is that as long as they don't see it with their own eyes, its not true.

My grandfather and aunt tell me they've seen angels and ghosts.. or maybe it was just angels. They are religious, but i believe them. I especially believe my grandfather. He's experienced many weird incidents. He has also had dreams about people dying and it has happened. Im always a litte ''afraid'' being in his old house. Im kind of worried i would end up seeing something abnormal. Also when i was young my mum told me this story about a ghost warning someone in my familt about an accident..

It facinates me.

Thanks for the reply! Very Happy
Dreaming about disasters or premonition happens to a lot of people but many choose to ignore it. My mother has dreamt about the following major events a month before they happened:
Space shuttle Challenger back in the 1980's - she even phoned NASA but they just laughed at her. I bet they weren't laughing when it actually happened as Challenger exploded after lift off.

9/11 - mum dreamt about two massive skyscrapers emitting huge clouds of black smoke before collapsing and killing thousands. interstingly enough we were watching a movie with the twin towers in it and when mum saw them she stated that they were the buildings in her dream. Weeks later it actually happened.

Many believe that all of us have physic ability it's just that we don't know how to utilise it's potential. Also another thing about ghosts, ever notice how it's always the big skeptics and non-believers who always seem to have the most startling encounters with the paranormal?
Funnily enough the Melbourne Skeptics club holds it's monthly meetings in a haunted pub in the city. The manager even has CCTV footage of the ghost yet the skeptics still claim it does not exist.

You're welcome! : -)

Im just glad i haven't had any of those dreams. It must be scary. Remember watching a program about this woman who had a dream about a plane crashing and she called the person that would travel. If i remember right, they canceled the tickets, and a plane crash actually happened. If someone called me and told me that, i wouldn't know what to do. Im not sure if i would still cancel the ticket..
Haha, i always have dreams of a planecrash when i travel, but i always survive in my dream. Im most likley dreming stupid stuff like that 'cause im a little nervous before the flight. Good thing is that i always survive:P

Im kind of trailing off, but like with people who have ''healing power''. Im not sure if i can manage to believe that.. or, i sometimes can understand that it could be true, but when people start talking about someone curing aids (for example), it kind of makes you think twice.

My aunt who's very christian said she went to this healing thing and she said that she saw it with her own eyes that this healing man made a foot grow longer. She said she didn't think it could happen, but she saw it with her own eyes.. I still don't believe that. The biggest reason is that when you're under influence of something (not talking about drugs, but people who deeply believe in religion), then it wouldn't be hard for the healer to make people believe that it actually happened. Or, dunno. I would believe most maybe believe it if it was something else, but a foot growing?

Oh and something i do not believe is stuff like ''everyone can learn how to heal''. If it exists, it must be a ''gift''. People are born differently.

Part of what turned me toward Christianity was the fact that I wished some bad things on people (specific things) that came true. I believed it was evil and eventually turned from it to what I was being told was good. Now I see the evil in Christianity and believe that these thoughts being specific entered my mind as possible subtle premonitions that turned into wishes. In all cases it seemed like a matter of some kind of Karma was watching over and avenging me. I haven't noticed any response to wishing for healing, and have found many times that cures are found by identifying the causes of which there are many.

That was pretty interesting edisme. Thanks for posting it!

I have never seen any human ghostly form, but I did see two colored things. One was an orange colored, slightly translucent ball enter in through the wall of the house and go back out again. The other was a blue blob, also slightly translucent over the TV. I was not sleepy or intoxicated at those times and they just sort of happened in the blink of an eye and I've never seen them again.

I figure the TV one was some sort of electromagnetic field made visible, but the orange ball, no idea.

Have felt "presences" in this house before, and experienced strange occurrences. When hubby's evil alcoholic step mother lived here, there were many such presences. One liked to knock a mirror off the wall. It fell multiple times over many evenings in the middle of the night. No one heard anything. One morning I found it on the floor and broken. I would hear footsteps and open/closing doors when I was alone in the house but never found anything.

After she moved out, all the occurrences stopped. *shrugs*

I found the movie hilarious. I'm pretty skeptical about this issue. However I don't know much about the energy technicalities to even argue this point. I just think this is a fun thread for people to share their experiences as well as media. Wink
