Ghosts & the paranormal

Seeing that this part of the forum deals with the paranormal, I thought i'd ask everyone else what their views on ghosts & spirits are as I have seen a lot of "odd" happenings in my lifetime and can pick up on a spirits presence in an area. Before anyone laughs at me or tells me i'm hallucinating and making this all up. I just want to say that I am NOT a religious person at all, never have been and never will be. I don't touch drugs in any form and I don't drink but the things I have experienced are totally unexplainable and yes I used to be a skeptic who did not believe, that was until my first encounter when I was on holidays with my parents in country Victoria, I was 15 years old then and remember laying in bed in a pitch black room and shitting myself as a misty figure of a little boy crossed the room. Anyway would like to hear what you guys have to say on this stuff and if any of you have your own experiences with the paranormal.

I believe you. I have witnessed some things I can not explain either. Whenever I talk about it people tell me I was only dreaming or maybe I had smoked too much weed. I hadn't really seen ghosts but I could deffinately feel their presence. Maybe they're not ghosts, but aliens. I still don't know. Tell me if this is strange. I was lying in bed half-awake and half asleep. It was the craziest feeling because I could not move, I could not talk or breathe or even scream. I could see while my eyes were closed, a shadow. It was looking at me as I was lying in my bed. I could see my body lying there. It was like my "spirit" had escaped my body. like the shadow wanted my "soul". I am not religious either, I don't think it was any sort of omen, just a weird dream. Only I wasn't asleep. Another instance of when I was in this sleep-like state, I saw the same ominous shadow. It was trying to drag me off by my hair. When I woke up, It felt like somebody had pulled my hair. I looked down at the bottom bunk to see if my little sister was trying to wake me up, if it was her pulling my hair. I saw that she was sound asleep. It couldn't have been her.

I agree they exist. Since I (unlike many of you) hold the Scriptures as an authority, I believe they are demons. I think its reasonable to conclude they are only there to mislead you. Especially so-called "ghosts" as it is understood in modern times.

When I was a child we had a lot of bad happen in our small poor home in Texas. I guess you could say, it was "haunted" something fierce. However we discovered a lot of it had to do with the things we had inside the house, things related to spiritism. We got rid of the items and the things got worse, but they eventually stopped bugging us. Our only reasonable conclusion is that it was associated with spiritism--to me, diabolic practices.

There was as study done that this similar experience *could* be related to a state the body puts itself in, something having to do with paralyzing of the nervous system through the brain. However even if that state does exist, I agree some things can not be attributed to merely just a medical explanation.

I have alwase been told that some people are more atuned to the paranormal and that it isnt real and it cant hurt you.. that is what my parnets alwase told me so not scar me for i have seen these things for along time... i probably sound crazy but i have no explanantion what what i have alwase seen .. There are ghosts and demons in every nation around the world so how can everyone have come up with the same sort of ideas without there being a source for the begining of it all... yep you can die easier form not sleeping, sleeping is resting your brain and giving it time to prossess..

I have recently started a paranormal investigation group based in Melbourne. So i'm hoping to be able to get some proof of the existence of ghosts and spirits. Our first investigation will be later this month at the old Melbourne Gaol, a site infamous for it's hauntings. We will be using infra-red thermometers, EMF meters, night cameras and some non digital and digital still cameras as well as voice recorders. I know a lot of ghost enthusiasts so what better way than to start your own group of ghost hunters!

You'd like to think that all zionists and their supporters go to some special type of place when they die. A place where they are bullied and bashed by security forces and have their homes bull-dozed on a daily basis. Imagine a recurring nightmare of what the average palestinian is expected to put up with all the time. To me that would be a fitting finale for zionists to endure for eternity.

Just to let you guys know, 6 of us did an investigation of Old Melbourne Gaol on Sunday the 29th October using the following equipment:
2 35mm still cameras (non digital)
2 digital cameras
1 EMF meter

We haven't developed the photos yet so we will have to look closely when we get them done, but during our investigation we picked up excessive EMF readings in a third floor cell that is supposed to be haunted by the ghost of a baby murderer. One of our group also got a splitting headache in the same cell, but the headache went when she left the cell. All in all very interesting stuff. And while not much paranormal activity was experienced a great time was had by those involved. Our next investigation will be at a haunted parking garage.

Guess i'm the resident ghost hunter here then Very Happy
