What is with all the Christian hating? Christianity is no more corrupt than any religion. Is it used to control people? Yes. Are there evil people who use Christianity to take advantage of others? Yes. The same can be said for all other religions. Why focus only on Christianity? Islam is just as evil. Silly Christian hatters. Your mistakenly categorize all people who call themselves Christian as evil lying puppets. People are all alike. No one is perfect. At times everyone lies, Steals, what ever. It is human nature. By all means; if you know of a religion that encourages genocide, rape, genital mutilation, zionism, racism, slavery, etc then expose it! What is wrong with hating such sickness?

Sure Islam and Christianity are mere denominations of Judaism and these Judaic religions are all perverse. This doesn't mean that all relgions are.

We don't see Islamics here twisting the Koran to try to justify it or oppressing women in the name of it. If we did; I'm sure we'd see some Islam hating also.

we focus on christianity cuz christians are the majority in america, they also seem to be the biggest group goin around trying to convert the world..

im against EVERY religion.. so by all means make a thread for each one (even tho they all stem from the same source) and well discuss the problems of each

Where does your will to be good come from? Does not every man or woman out there have something in them telling them to worship something? If not, God or Buddah. If any of you out there have read Mere Christianity By CS Lewis you would know where i am coming from. Lewis was at one time an Atheist and convinced himself there was no way possible God could not have existed or exist. Every theory was able to be proved wrong somehow. Except Christianity. If God never existed, if this was all a lie then He would be the worst Thing that ever existed in History, Leading all of us to Hell. God created us because of His love. Read the book and then get back to me. and if you cant understand it, i'll be praying for you.

Every trait pertaining to the behavior of being good is learned and engrained by those responsible for a child's upbringing. Unfortunately, bible-thumpers accomplish this with the mighty rod of organized religion behind them when they tell a child he/she will go to everlasting damnation if they are bad. Humans are moulded and shaped during their formative years as a result of their experiences and interactions with those primarily responsible for them. I grew up with a Baptist preacher's son who was a victim of emotional and physical abuse from his conservative Christian father. His father being a Christian didn't save him from the horrors of child abuse, which it should have, and as a result of those experiences he became a troubled adult. On the hand, I was raised by an agnostic father that never abused me. He taught me to treat everyone with goodness, kindness and compassion. So, I'm afraid your argument that people have to believe in god in order to be good is invalid.

I have the book Mere Chrisianity and never finished reading it. C.S. Lewis lived in a different time and I feel sure if had known what we know now he would have died an atheist.

What do we know now that we didnt know back then? Lewis was alive in the 1960's that wasnt that long ago. I never said a word about believing in God in order to be good. Everlasting Damnation? What? So are you saying that because i lied to my mom i am condemned to hell? I ask her for forgivness just as I would God. He made me to do good. its my free will that allows me to do bad. its my free will to go and ask for forgivness against the sin i just commited. It was not God who made that man to abuse his son. It is not His will to see His child hurt like that. It just happened. Just as my brother died and parents divorced. Stuff happens. Why didnt you go in and save him instead of just watching from the sidelines. Maybe you did. I admit fully my father is Agnostic. He considers everything to be good. But he is still lacking something. he knows it. i know it. inside. there is something missing. Many of the prophecies given in Revelations of the Bible are coming true at this moment and this site is part of it. disprove that

God will not burst into anyones life. He is a gentlman and waits at the door of your heart for you to let Him in.
