They are both toys, edisme. (The second one looks fantastic!)
All right to charge up a battery to keep your laptop and electric toothbrush charged.
No good to keep you happy and alive in a deserted shack far from destroyed cities.
A 5 kW generator can be built from rare earth magnets and a few metres of heavy gauge copper wire, plywood and resin for a few hundred bucks. It must be driven by three 2.5 metre long plywood blades.
I saw the plans for this but lost the ref. I'll try and find them again.
