What are the symptoms of thyroid problems in dogs? My Schnauzer is shedding quite a bit and he's hyperactive. I've read that dogs with a thyroid problem can be lethargic or hyperactive but I'd like to hear from someone who has experience with this.
best way to tell is a trip to the vet, my cat had a bad thyroid, he was hyperactive and shredded as well, although ur dog might just be hyperactive because he's a hound and shedding because he has allergies, there are always more than one posibility when it comes to medical conditions.
