If you downloaded a file with the flv extension, you'll need flv player, or Riva FLV Player. Or you can install VLC media player which comes with it's own codecs. Mplayer for Linux also works.
Q: How come I can't submit comments?
A: Sorry, had too many problems with spammers, and we'd rather spend our time bringing you quality content. The vlog is intended to be a video resource. Our forum is better suited for discussion. Q: What happened to RSS?
A: It was using an incredible amount of server CPU and causing the whole domain to stop working momentarily. I couldn't find a solution for it; so I disabled it. Please visit the site daily instead.
Q: When I try to watch a downloaded video, I get the error message: "class not registered".
A: In Windows: Click on Start -> Run... -> and type "regsvr32 quartz.dll" without the quotes, then press enter.
Q: I get an error when attempting to download, or I press play and the movie doesn't start?
A: The movie was probably removed by the host. We try to fix sources for videos on the vlog when possible. If you have an alternate source for a video, please submit it to: madthumbz@gmail.com
Q: How do I post to the Vlog?
A: Our vlog is one of the main attractions to this site. Our Vlog editors are carefully selected from users who regularly post on our forum so that we can keep it a main attraction. If you post a worthy video on the forum, one of our editors will probably put the video on the vlog with a link to the forum post for discussion.
Q: Why is the vlog crashing my browser (usually during an advanced search with more than 5 results per page)?
A: This could be caused by too many videos being loaded at once. Try reducing the number of posts per page in your search settings, or disable scripts and use the download links instead.
Q: A post is totally missing from the former url -why?
A: Some videos have been removed by the host, and because they didn't have a distinctive enough title or description: they couldn't be replaced. Sometimes we've run into duplicate entries and decided to go with one or the other. In some cases, we may be embarrassed by ever posting the video and removed it to save face.
Q: How Can I Convert These to DVD or other formats like mpeg4 (divx / xvid)?
A: Get the awesome and free MediaCoder. This excellent program even works in Linux through WINE.
