Why all the fancy backdrops? Why the new carpeting, new stages?
Why are the debates held in buildings with all brand new stuff?
Since when do politicians need light shows and decorated sets? Is it a show? Is it a play?
Where do the sets/backdrops go? In the garbage?
Why is the money wasted on these pieces of crap instead of feeding the hungry and clothing the poor?
Just getting sick and tired of seeing money wasted instead of being spent where it would do more good.
Above all, why is Wolf Blitzer running a debate? Schmuck...
Is Ron Paul left handed?

I wish the world would stop seeing poverty in terms of the American dollar. People can live good off the land if allowed to. Money and school only turns us into slaves. Why do we want that for others?
Yeah I agree with you. But if I was to mention to others about how we should all live in small communities where we grow food and make clothing for all, I would get called a Communist... like the other day. *sigh*

You bear the persecution of the ignorant. You have my sympathy. What they should know is that Communism, as the political system, is one where a central government/authority has complete control of all resources and compels/forces collective cooperation. This is very different from a small village system (or "commune") where everyone is free to contribute or not contribute. Obviously, the villagers will tend to contribute since it eases their burdens. They do not do it because they are forced to do it. If they do not agree, they can move to another village or start their own. If they have been properly trained to live on the land, it would not be unthinkable to live on their own wherever they might be. Human loneliness and the ease of sharing burdens would tend to gravitate people to villages.
[Edit: removed illogical references to villagers' survival depending on the survival of the village, since it contradicts the fact that the villagers probably have some skills that would allow them to live independantly.]

I liked The Village : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0368447/ more than most people I think. Maybe because I saw it as semi-idealist aside from the monsters.
Then, there's The Legend of Ruby Ridge which is a kind of prequel to Waco which is similar to Jonestown. The common theme unfortunately here though is that a religion was used to initiate and sustain all these including The Village.
