Quote: Madthumbs - Can he substantiate all the parallels between Christianity and Paganism?
Good question and I wish he would list all the resources. If found on the internet, then provide
the links / web sites.

Well the 9/11 point of views in that "movie" I didn't even watch, because it seems like beating a dead horse. It's coming to the point where if someone doesn't actually come up with new evidence, it's all just recycled info.
First things first. The religious aspect I feel is the most important. The whole astro theology thing makes sense. Moses and the golden calf/Taurus... the Jews and the ram's horn/Aries.... Jesus and the fish/Pisces. I only wonder what the name is going to be for the water bearer and what crazy ass story are they going to make up to go with it?

I've seen this before.. all someone has to do is disprove some of the assertions about the parallels between Christianity and Paganism to discredit the entire thing to an audience. One of the author's/ researcher's site's that supposedly dug this information up was challenged on this, and the thread appeared to disappear.

From the link:
 | | * Special thanks to Acharya S for her consultation for this section* |
Acharya is a Zionist. It was her forum I was referring to previously where a good argument came up and apparently disappeared. She upholds that Islam is the reason for suicide bombers, " it ain't Buddhism cranking out these crackpots", "Good thing most of my audience is Christian, otherwise I'd probably already be missing my head and/or genitals."
I've posted before about how she could care less about the Palestinians.

Yes, I agree. I had no idea that this stuff was being said. I don't know a lot about
astrology, religion or Paganism. I'm not a Christian or into religion, but many in
my family are. I don't let taboos stop me from checking things out. They do (family)
and the problem is just that - Taboos. Of course we know what they say --> Who
am I (or you) to question such things.
Should we (here) try and prove or disprove the links between
religion / theology and Paganism?

Oh yeah .. This is what they do. So much for debate.

A note: Slavo aka Benjamin Freedman here was a big promoter of Hufschmid, DBS, and Acharya who have all been revealed to be working for the Zionist cause. I hang my head in shame for where this site was at while he was here influencing it through pms.
You can count on one thing here... I'm not stuck in a rut, and learn from my mistakes.

I know an astrologer, we both watched the movie. While we we're watching that movie he kept noting a ton of distortions in their astrology through the religious part.
I didn't write them down so don't ask, i'm just giving conjecture.

Please take note.
I know Texe Marrs to be inaccurate in naming the sequence of the space shuttles for a religious (mind control) purpose. I haven't really followed him beyond that. He's too closely connected to Alex Jones and DBS for me to be concerned.

 | | If atheists want to criticize Christianity, they are welcome to. I think if they examine the facts, they will understand that Christianity is intellectually tight.
Movies like Zeitgeist and "the God Who Wasn't There" claim to intelligently destroy Christianity, but they show their ignorance of Christianity, history, and other religions by their claims. This is another nail in the coffin of atheists claiming to resist religion because of their thorough research and understanding.
Both of these films claim that Jesus was made up and his attributes were stolen from other gods. Horus, an Egyptian deity referred to as a god of the sun in Zeitgeist, is given as an example. It is claimed he was born on December 25, of a virgin, was a child teacher at 12, baptized at 30, and had 12 disciples, was crucified, dead for 3 days, and was resurrected.
Firstly, the Bible never claims that Jesus was born on December 25. If you examine the Bible, you will find that He was probably born around September. The December 25 birthday is an example of the Roman Catholic Church borrowing from paganism and incorporating it into tradition. These are not the facts of the Bible though.
Most of the time when I examine the ACTUAL myths of the pagan gods mentioned in these films and compare them to Jesus, I don't find these comparisons. I often see December 25 as a special day in pagan religions, but I don't see that Horus was claimed to have been born on that day. I also see some of the pagan figures as being the son of a high god, but apart from that, I find that most of the claims in these films are MADE UP.
For instance, apart from Horus being the son of the highest Egyptian god (and that over time the lines started to blur between he and his father), I cannot find any of the parallels given in Zeitgeist. His birth was miraculous, but only because his mother put her husband's dead body back together and had sex with it (in other stories she made a genitalia from scratch). In other words-- no virgin birth.
As far as Horus' death, there is no tradition of it. There is only one death tradition of Horus which wasn't a popular or official one in which in which he dies and is cast in pieces into water, and later fished out by a crocodile.
Horus did not have 12 disciples, nor was he baptized.
As for the claim that Horus was a sun god, Horus was the god of the sky. One of his eyes was the sun, but he wasn't the god of the sun. Please AT LEAST Wikipedia Horus to see what I mean.
If atheists want to criticize Christianity, please feel free. I wish you the best of luck trying to find truthful criticisms that hold up. But if anyone is out there spreading this stuff, I would ask them to appeal to their ethical side and not continue to disseminate this nonsense. Please stop posting films like Zeitgeist and the God Who Wasn't There. If you'd like, edit out the nonsense parts and post the rest. I would be glad to help you cut out the parts that aren't accurate. Please e-mail me and let me know if you need help-- revd_icu@yahoo.com
If you're posting Zeitgeist because you're a New Ager, I urge you to remember that Christianity is not a New Age religion, nor is it a religion of Popes and Warmongering. It has been greatly misrepresented by anti-Christian power structures, thus the wicked traditions associated with it.
Please also check out a critique of a section from the God Who Wasn't There under the essays section of
BabylonIsFallen.net
Thanks! |
"Christianity is intellectually tight" -lol!
Is it any wonder that this video was filled with Zionist shills? Where's a lot of the disinformation coming from? Acharya S. who could care less about the extermination and oppression of Palestinians? Now I have to wonder if there is disinformation in: The Bible and Plagiarism that I should edit. To top this off, I'm on her mailing list (which won't let me unsubscribe). She's drawing attention to Jeff Rense because he interviewed the producer, and she wants her readers to request that she be interviewed with Rense (good information mingled with nonsense aka turd in the punchbowl aka poop in my soup).

It's pretty sad how she has set back the criticisms of religion. More reasons not to watch this garbage.
