Notepad is one of the few M$ apps that isn't buggy or vulnerable but it's becoming dated as a text editor. Some people boast of creating their web pages in notepad, but why when you can have lines numbered for you, and automated highlighting of code like Linux with Gnome? Much more features even for Windows in the apps listed below:
