The past two evenings, I've made myself a small bowl of Cream of Wheat with 2% milk. Both nights, I've had extremely vivid, rapid dreams. I haven't actually remembered dreaming for a long while before I started doing this.
This is not the reason I chose to eat Cream of Wheat. I was just a tad hungry and I find it gentle on my stomach a few hours before hitting the sack.
My husband has said the same thing about the dreaming.
I don't really think it's the product itself, but it might be from the B vitamins it says on the nutrition label on the prepared with milk side. I looked it up and lots of people talk about vitamin B6 and B12 aiding in lucid dreaming.
*shrug*
Curious to try it again tonite and see what happens.

We all dream, it's a matter of waking up during them to remember them. I believe it's interrupting your sleep. B-vitamins can have a strong effect on the nervous system. We should try to get them in a natural balanced way since too much of one could halt our absorption of others. One of the b-vitamins (I think it's B-2 / Riboflavin) can make people drowsy as well as magnesium.
I think your on to something, just last week I ate two bowls cream of wheat, before bed , and i had a very strange dream. I was being haunted by a ghost, long story short i woke and at 4am and couldn't fall back asleep because I was freaked out.
