It seems like there's an effort to supress any real alternatives as well. The whole situation reminds me of Tesla and his free electric grid, when none of the bankers would give him any funding. We've seen numerous videos of water powered batteries and vehicles etc but no one seems to have made them really available or useful; we're still nearly completely reliant on fossil fuels so no wonder they're getting more 'expensive'.
1000s of people have been going and protesting outside the parliament buildings because of the price of petrol, but what is Gordon Brown etc going to do about it? It's nothing to do with him, but people don't even think for one second, nevermind the country/world being a complete disgrace, if it's effecting their wallets personally only then will anyone complain.
I hope there is a depression, maybe then more people will get angry and demand we get rid of these bankers, also if the money is next to worthless then there's no incentive to work, maybe they will occupy themselves by tearing the remains of the system apart, one can only hope!
