I got banned from here under the name "paradigm667" a few months ago.
The reason was basically an argument about Acharya S's work and I would just like to say that while I might not see eye to eye on every single subject this site offers, I do think that the questioning spirit and the general open mindedness with which issues are explored here are worth supporting and taking part in.
I am not trying to sneak my way back into the forum with another name, I am making it perfectly transparent.
Anyways, if there is no desire to have me on this forum still, I will not post again, not a problem.
In case that peace can be made, I do have a question regarding 9/11 and the pentagon. What do we reasonably know about what happened there? It does seem that absolutely no eyewitness noticed a global hawk or any other type of drone. Many witnesses said they saw an american airlines jet. One witness, Mike Walters, apparently was misquoted and taken out of context saying "it looked like a missile hit the pentagon" when what he really said was "I saw american airlines jet flying at high speeds and it looked like a missile when it hit the pent."...or something to that effect. However this guy also claims to have seen both wings snap backwards and go in with the fuselage (which is why he says there is not a bigger section damaged of the pent).
I am wondering if this isn't just a bold faced lie. If you look at the tower impacts, clearly the wings and the engines and the body leave pronounced entrance marks, so why would we assume the pentagon wouldn't have just the same pattern marks? Everyone knows how during hurricanes and high speed winds blades of straw can pierce through unthinkable objects. A plane traveling that fast would have to leave some sort of mark one would think.
What is the opinion of this site, or anyone else in general?
Thanks,
Mario

Did I give this reason? I think it was a general negative attitude towards this site, with that being the last one.

I think this is how you feel about Acharya's site, not here. Am I just not aware of some support you gave us? Maybe point out what you did that was good for us?

I have a contact link on the homepage partly for a situation like this, and I have more respect people who use that route.

I can't think of anything of value you've contributed (may want to point something out), but will consider what VIP's have to say.

There's so much conflicting information, I'll just stick with it being a false flag op. -That's what's important isn't it?

The pentagon was built to withstand attacks.

Wood maybe, but haven't seen it with stone or polycarbonate have you?

I think most of us leave that stuff to the conspiracy theorists to endlessly theorize about.
What's up with the subject of this post anyway?
So called end times prophecy crap:
Quote:
"And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away." - Luke 21:29-33
Yes you are probably right, it may have been a culmination of a few forum threads which I held an antagonistic opinion to yours or that which this site holds.
As far as the assertion that I may in fact be in more support of TruthBeKnown than this site and sites like it, that I can promise you is not the case. I don't want to badmouth anyone, so I will reserve comments about that site, and in particular the poster named "freethinkaluva." I do think her work, however, is useful and certainly a stepping stone toward learning more about comparative religion. Thats as far as I take it. If it seemed otherwise at some point, I should apologize for that. There are few issues I am so sure about that I can justify raising my voice on, so to speak, and ancient history and religion is certainly not one.
I did not think about using the contact link, sincere apologies.
As far as the pentagon, and most important issues, I agree, often the minute details are irrelevant in terms of understanding the big picture and what it means in the geopolitical world and what the implications are. The reason for the post was because my cousin is trying to illicit a debate with me and he is using, as his only reference a site called http://www.debunking911.com. I just wanted to see if I was missing some perspective or info. I normally have bigger fish to fry (or in my case, fruit to peel) but in this case I am taking the time to address my narrow minded cousin.
I don't have any agenda. I do like discourse though, and as such, it behooves me to seek out similar-minded people to engage in communication. I assure you our similarities are probably countless and our disagreements perhaps a handful, if that.
Anyway, you say the word never a post again, totally respect that.

I think the video here expresses what I was trying to say only better:
The Mess of Acharya S
What she is doing is helping to cement people's belief in this religion using assertions that can't be proven (and are most often contradicted) while ignoring the plain and simple information in the texts (which people overlook) that should be enough. When people lift her up as one of the top sources of information against Christianity (or any other religion), Christians see: "Easy Win", in their eyes. Zeitgeist is like Loose Change. People watch it, then watch the debunking and don't want too look anymore into it thinking they know both sides.
We are in agreement. What might end up happening is that the bar might get raised very quickly due to this, and authors or producers realize that they need to be even more meticulous in their works and only claim what they can absolutely prove, at least that's what I hope happens.
Acharya may be correct about the Buddha Krishna Christ connection, but it IS difficult for a layman to simply accept that she knows this because she read texts in other languages, and deduced such things on her own...things we could never do. It IS a mess in a sense. For me, when I see the "debunkings" all I want to do is investigate even more, whereas I do think most people who are just looking for a way to justify their ignorance and beliefs, use one or the other argument and pretend there is no way it can be flawed at all.
The point is to keep researching, keep asking questions...not to find some video or piece of literature to hold onto in order to end discussion on the subject. And I see many people doing just that. Now, if it is discovered that these authors and producers are making straw man arguments, so to say, intentionally to have them brought down by the opposing ideologists, then we ought to boycott these people because that is a very criminal thing to do. I do not know, or am convinced if this is the case whatsoever.
I don't know that Peter J made Zeitgeist just to have it "debunked" and so on. If that is the case, it's a sad world indeed though. But I did appreciate the thread you had about those subjects because you make a good point and it's a significant one at that.
I personally don't know much about comparative religion but after seeing what has happened to Acharya S and Jordan Maxwell I would rather stay away from them as sources.
Atm I rather use their own texts, and logical arguments to debate religion however if there is documented proof on comparison religion I would be open to it.
As for Peter J, it is difficult to say what his position is unless you know the guy. Hopefully he uses better sources for his next flick.
Indeed, many people arguing against the historicity of Jesus are being lashed out against vehemently by scholars, fanatics, intellects and morons alike.
There is a recently new video I found on con-cen which argues FOR Jesus as a real person. I personally view the issue of Jesus being real as a fable, however I will never stop taking a look at what others have to say on the matter and keeping an open mind. Here is the link to it:
As far as Peter J, I don't know him, and certainly there are refutations of his film which may or may not be valid. It's so hard to be "right" when discussing ancient history, or in this case mythology. I support the guy, and will assume he is simply human and made some errors in citations, details or logic. Name a documentary which is infallible, I don't know that one exists. If we are accusing him of intentionally leading us down the road to misinformation via the Hegelian dialectic, we ought to prove such things first. In my opinion I think Zeitgeist does purport many things which it cannot necessarily back up and this is problematic, but yet I think just bringing light on such a massive scale to these issues has been good overall. I am willing to change my stance on this if someone would like to educate me.
I'm all for freedom of speech. If someone has a better documentary than Zeitgeist, make one, or point me in the direction of it and I'll be more than happy to check it out.
Incidentally there is a 9/11 documentary which is recently new called "Zero Investigation into 9/11" made by Italian filmmakers which I thought was pretty well done in terms of not making any stupid claims which can be "debunked" and it put forth a decent bit of info which I did not ever see before. For instance there is an interview of a guy who was up on the floors above where the planes hit who survived. I was wondering if people above the impact survived and what they had to say. May be worthwhile...You can download that too on con-cen. (and yes I hate that word "conspiracy" just like the rest of us, but it is a decent site for torrents on certain topics).
ALSO, mods, is it OK to post a really good article on Salt and a video on diet and disease? Later.
